Interview with one of WNY's most influential people: UB President Satish Tripathi

WGRZ-TV interviewed UB President Satish Tripathi in a “Get 2 Know” in-depth interview segment. Tripathi was recently ranked No. 10 on Business First’s “Power 250” list of Western New York’s most influential people. In the wide-ranging interview, Tripathi talked about growing up in India, his academic career path in the United States, arriving at UB in 2004 to serve as provost, and how UB and the City of Buffalo have grown together. “You can’t be a great university, if you’re not in a great city,” said Tripathi. “So we are really joined together. The better the city does, the better the university does and vice versa.”
