NPR’s Wisconsin Public Radio interviewed Helen "Nellie" Drew in a show examining whether college athletes should be allowed to accept paid endorsements. The case on the NCAA’s upcoming name, image and likeness (NIL) issue is now before the U.S. Supreme Court. “Five states have NIL laws that go live July 1 (Florida, Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, New Mexico) with Arizona’s law going into effect July 23,” according to Drew, who was the sole guest/expert throughout the 30-minute broadcast.
