A ‘green’ energy project leaves a Mississippi town gasping for air

The Huffington Post quoted Holly Jean Buck about how a Mississippi town is having air quality problems caused by a wood mill that was established to help with green energy. Limited biomass energy could be useful, such as in California, where dead trees in drought-stricken forests need to be cleared anyway to reduce the harmful effects of wildfires, said Buck. “The best case for biomass is waste biomass,” Buck said.
