The BBC quoted Jessica Krueger for its story on how students’ drinking habits affect their diets. Students are more likely to eat after drinking alcohol, and more likely to eat foods high in salt and sugar, according to the research. This behavior is supported by the misconception that you have to eat something along with drinking alcohol to help “absorb the alcohol,” said Krueger. “If someone’s out drinking, they’re not going to search for healthy options.”
