The Buffalo News reported that Henry Louis-Taylor, Jr. is one of 10 New Yorkers statewide who have been appointed by Gov. Hochul to the 400 Years of African American History Commission, which serves to highlight contributions by Africans and African Americans to the U.S. and the state. The story quoted Taylor who said: "As an urban planner and historian, I am excited about the ability to be able to help determine how we celebrate this history, the stories that are told and the ways that we can use the past to shape present and future."
