East Buffalo needs community-driven structural investments, not fly-in, fly-out charity

Following the racist mass shooting in Buffalo, a Civil Eats article written by scholars in the Food Systems Planning and Healthy Communities Lab at UB, including Samina Raja, professor in the Department of Urban and Regional planning, as well as academic partners outside of UB, states that Buffalo’s Black neighborhoods need sustained structural investments, not fly-in, fly-out charity.
