The National Desk and numerous media outlets nationwide quoted Ananth Iyer in a story about how the California Air Resources Board adopted a rule that requires 35% of new passenger vehicles sold by 2026 and 68% by 2030 to produce zero carbon emissions. “On paper, this looks like a great sort of push to get the transition to happen. The question really is availability of everything,” said Iyer. “By everything, I mean availability of the vehicles, which means that the batteries have to be available, the chips have to be available, and once you get the car, availability of charging stations, etc., so that this whole ecosystem is made available to people at different price points.”
