The Globe and Mail carried an opinion piece about “The M&A Failure Trap: Why Most Mergers and Acquisitions Fail and How the Few Succeed,” a new book co-authored by Feng Gu. According to the article, “The book will be of interest to any investor hoping to assess the likelihood of success or failure of a proposed merger or acquisition in their portfolio. As the authors point out, theirs is a purely statistically driven study. Most research on the topic involves anecdotal accounts of individual transactions.”
