Yahoo! Life quotes Alan Lesse in an article about the need for masks during the summer COVID wave. “People who are at greater risk of a more serious outcome from COVID-19 infection — the elderly, people who are pregnant, patients with a compromised immune system, or those with other underlying health conditions, such as heart disease or diabetes — should consider masking. The advantage of masking is that it will decrease the risk of transmission of many respiratory viruses and bacteria in addition to COVID-19,” Lesse said.
