One satellite crash could upend modern life

The Atlantic featured John Crassidis in a report on the growing problem of space debris and the risk of satellite collisions in low Earth orbit. Crassidis said that the fact that we’ve managed to fill space with so much junk can be hard to fathom. Space is, after all, enormous. But “it’s getting smaller every day,” Crassidis said.
