Furious officials say misinformation is harming hurricane response

The Hill quotes Yotam Ophir about how misinformation is harming hurricane response. A result of misinformation, Ophir said, “is the loss of trust in the government in general, but also in FEMA and the organizations responsible for mitigating those risks and helping people out during those hard times.” He added: “We need to work together during these days. We need the government to be able to work with people on the ground, with people on the local level. Distrust makes all of that impossible to do.
