Friday the 13th: Why is it considered unlucky?

NPR’s Here & Now featured Phillips Stevens in an episode about the superstitions associated with Friday the 13th.  “This particular taboo derives from the story of the Last Supper,” Stevens said. The 13^th member to arrive to the biblical seder was Judas, the disciple who betrayed him for crucifixion on the subsequent Friday.
