Prioritizing science, entrepreneurship and education throughout WNY

The Buffalo News’ Editorial Board praised two recent major business and science developments at UB: the Hauptman-Woodward Medical Research Institute’s official joining of the university and subsequent renaming to the University at Buffalo Hauptman-Woodward Research Institute (UB-HWI), and that five more startups have completed UB’s Cultivator program. The News quoted UB President Satish K. Tripathi on the significance of UB-HWI: “By harnessing the enhanced capabilities of UB-HWI, we will be able to greatly enhance our shared mission of excellence. In so doing, we will expand our impact in research, education and community engagement – all for the benefit of our region and world.”
