The time, place and manner policies - Assembling, Camping On Campus and Posting - approved and signed by President Tripathi, are available in the University Policy Library

Overview

As a scholarly community that embraces the tenets of the First Amendment, we are dedicated to upholding the rights of free speech and the right to peaceably assemble. These clarified policies reaffirm UB’s commitment to ensure a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment where we are free to carry out our education and research mission without disruption or interference.

Applicability

These policies apply to:

  • All students and employees of the university or university-affiliated organizations (e.g., state, Research Foundation, University at Buffalo Foundation, Campus Dining and Shops, Alumni Association), regardless of the funding source, and individuals and entities with contractual relationships with the university
  • Visitors and guests on university premises
