Researchers from four State University of New York campuses; University at Buffalo (UB), Stony Brook University (SBU), SUNY Polytechnic Institute (Poly), and University at Albany (UA), as well as the Advanced Science Research Center at the City University of New York (CUNY) are conducting transformational research in quantum science and engineering in a highly collaborative manner, integrating experiment, predictive theory, data analysis, education and community outreach in partnership with the National Laboratories and industry partners.
This year several SUNY teams responded to the National Science Foundation's Quantum Leap Conceptualization Grant solicitation and were awarded two grants to develop quantum capabilities in research and education in collaboration with national labs and industry.
Distributed Quantum Systems Enhanced by Materials Design
This three day meeting brought together national and international institutions and experts in the quantum science, technology and education fields. During the event, attendees had that chance to share their expertise, establish new collaborations to strengthen Challenge Institute proposals, and identify industry experts to serve in advisory roles.
