UB's forthcoming Interdisciplinary Research Building will create a flexible, modern lab that offers an array of spaces to meet UB's ever-increasing research needs. This 170,000 square foot facility will focus on delivering research spaces that will enable disciplines to meet New York State Governor Kathy Hochul's charge to double research expenditures. With new lab spaces for engineering, the life sciences, physical sciences and computer science, the Interdisciplinary Research Building will foster collaboration, provide space for student and post-doctoral research and serve as a hub for innovation. The Interdisciplinary Research Building will be co-located with the AI & Society Building.
