Published January 28, 2025

The five finalists in the search for a new dean of the College of Arts and Sciences will visit campus over the next few weeks to meet with senior leadership, faculty, staff, students and alumni.

Public forums with the finalists are scheduled from 11 a.m. to noon Feb. 5, 11, 12, 13 and 14 in the Buffalo Room, 10 Capen Hall, North Campus. At these sessions, the finalists will provide introductory remarks and speak with those in attendance.

The names and CVs of the finalists will be available on the search website 48 hours prior to each candidate’s visit. Members of the UB community will need to log in with their UBIT name and password to gain access to finalists’ names and CVs.

For those who cannot attend in person, a livestream will be available on the search website at the time of each forum. Additionally, a recording of each session will be posted on the search website after the open session and will be available until 5 p.m. on Feb. 17.

Confidential surveys for each finalist will be available on the search website to gather feedback. All feedback must be submitted by 5 p.m. on Feb. 17.

The search is seeking a successor to Robin Schulze, who is stepping down as dean after an eight-year tenure and returning to her role on the faculty.
