UB music faculty members Jonathan Golove and John Bacon will take part in the final presentation of the 2012-13 season of “A Musical Feast,” a performance series sponsored by the Burchfield Penney Art Center at Buffalo State College.
The concert will take place at 8 p.m. April 12 in the center’s Peter and Elizabeth C. Tower Auditorium.
Golove, cello, and Bacon, vibes, will join Grammy-winning bass trombonist David Taylor in a program featuring the work of Taylor, Stockhausen and Schubert. Also performing will be former UB faculty member Rin Ozaki, marimba, and pianists Claudia Hoca and Michael McNeill.
Tickets are $20 for nonmembers and $10 for members and students, and can be obtained by calling the Burchfield Penney at 878-6011 or visiting the center’s website.
“A Musical Feast” was founded and is directed by Charles Haupt, retired BPO concert master and concert master of Lincoln Center’s Mostly Mozart Festival Orchestra for 21 years.
