The Department of Computer Science and Engineering is looking for student artists to create a mural celebrating diversity in computer science that will be on permanent display in Davis Hall.
The winner of the competition — open to all UB students — will receive a $500 cash prize. The deadline is April 7.
“We are looking for a mural that celebrates the many contributions made by women and minorities in the field of computer science, and one that will make our department a more welcoming place for everyone currently underrepresented within our field,” a statement on the mural competition’s website says.
The mural will be installed on the third floor of Davis by local artist Max Collins.
