Faculty and staff who would like to march in the academic procession at UB’s 168th general commencement ceremony on May 18 must register with the Office of Special Events by Feb. 25.

Those who march in the ceremony for undergraduates in the College of Arts and Sciences will be seated in a special section at the front of Alumni Arena and their names will appear in the commencement program. After the ceremony, participants are invited to a special luncheon in the Edward L. Wright Practice Facility in the arena.

Special Events will place rental orders and pay the rental fee for academic apparel for those participating in general commencement. Faculty and staff who wish to march in divisional commencement ceremonies must make their own arrangements and pay the cost of renting academic apparel.

Those wishing to march in a divisional ceremony should contact the coordinator of that ceremony. Information is available on the Countdown to Commencement website.

UB will hold its annual cap and gown sale in early March for those interested in purchasing their own academic apparel. Details are forthcoming.
