Outstanding UB students are encouraged to apply for the 2015-16 Western New York Prosperity Scholarship, which awards up to $25,000 per year to fund the studies of entrepreneurial and civic-minded UB students.
The scholarship is supported by the Prentice Family Foundation and is the largest annual gift given to UB, amassing nearly $500,000 per year. It is awarded to full-time undergraduate and graduate students who demonstrate their commitment to the Western New York community.
The award is open to all undergraduates of at least junior standing with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Eligible graduate programs include those in the School of Management, School of Engineering and Applied Sciences, and School of Architecture and Planning. Graduate students are required to maintain at least a 3.5 GPA.
Recipients also are expected to complete 300 hours of internship work within the Western New York region.
