A presentation and discussion about suicide in the student, veteran and LGBTQ communities will be held from 5-6 p.m. March 31 in 100 Allen Hall, South Campus.
The presentation, which is free and open to the public, will be preceded by a welcome reception at 4:30 p.m.
The event, “Serving Western New York: Suicide Prevention in the Student, Veteran and LGBTQ Community,” is sponsored by UB Counseling Services, UB Veteran Services, the VA Buffalo Vet Center and the VA Medical Center.
It will offer a unique opportunity for members of the campus community to hear from and interact with health professionals who will discuss the prevalence of suicide in their respective fields: student wellness, veteran health and the LGBT community.
