Oozefest, UB’s annual mud volleyball tournament, will take place May 9 in the mud pit on St. Rita’s Lane near the South Lake Village apartments on the North Campus.
More than 1,500 students, faculty, staff, alumni and volunteers are expected to participant in Oozefest, one of the largest collegiate mud volleyball tournaments in the country.
Matches begin around 9 a.m. and run until 4 p.m. Frontier Road and St. Rita’s Lane will be closed for the event. Spectator parking will be available in the Alumni B parking lot.
Oozefest began in 1984 as a way for students to de-stress before final exams and bring the UB community together. Now one of UB’s most beloved traditions, it has grown from 16 teams and two courts in the first years into a double-elimination tournament featuring 192 teams playing on 24 courts.
