The UB Child Care Center (UBCCC) will hold its third annual Friends & Family 5K Fun Walk June 6 on the North Campus.

The walk is designed to raise awareness and money for UBCCC, which provides care for the youngest members of the UB community at facilities on the North and South campuses.

Registration will open at 9:15 a.m. outside the North Campus child care center at 100 St. Rita’s Lane, between Alumni Arena and South Lake Village. The walk will begin at 10 a.m. at the entrance to the Amherst Bike Path off St. Rita’s Lane. At the conclusion of the walk, a party will be held from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Baird Point, behind the child care center, with lunch, other refreshments, live entertainment, games and other child-based activities.

The cost is $20 for adults, $15 for college students, $10 for children 12 and under, $5 for children enrolled in UBCCC and $45 for a family of up to four members.

Participants can register up until the morning of the walk, but those who register by May 25 will receive a walk T-shirt.
