An external grant-writing workshop for faculty members in the humanities will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Sept. 11 in 280 Park Hall, North Campus.
Sponsored by the UB Humanities Institute, the workshop is designed to support faculty members’ applications for external grants and fellowships. Participants will learn strategies from an experienced grant writer and evaluator, exchange ideas with other faculty members and receive feedback from peers on pre-circulated draft proposals. Such proposals may be at any stage — from preliminary sketches to finalized applications.
Those who wish to have their draft proposals critiqued should submit materials by Sept. 7.
Lunch will be served at 1 p.m. following the opening presentation and Q&A. Small group discussion of the pre-circulated draft proposals will begin at 1:20 p.m.
Those attending are asked to RSVP to Jinhee Song by Sept. 7.
