Researchers from all fields interested in expanding support for their work through NIH funding can attend a daylong seminar devoted to the subject.
“NIH Grants Seminar: Insights and Strategies for Early and Mid-Career Scholars” will be held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Aug. 24 in 101 Davis Hall, North Campus. The $40 fee includes lunch and a USB drive with presentation materials. Registration is required by Aug. 17.
The seminar is designed for early-career scholars new to the NIH funding process, as well as veteran researchers looking to move beyond R01. It will be led by NIH Deputy Branch Chief Denise Russo, who will present the material and lead a Q&A session. The seminar also will feature a panel discussion with prominent UB scholars who have significant NIH research funding.
