This fall marks the 10th anniversary of the founding of UB’s Humanities Institute, and it's celebrating the occasion with a roundtable and reception.
HI@10: A Symposium and Celebration, will take place from 2-4 p.m. Nov. 2 in 306 Clemens Hall, North Campus. It is free and open to the public.
Past and present officers of the institute — including former executive director Carrie Bramen, founding executive director Martha Malamud, founding director Ewa Ziarek, and current Executive Director Libby Otto and Director Erik Seeman — will take part in a roundtable discussion on a range of topics, among them the history and achievements of HI in its first decade and the future of the humanities at UB and beyond.
A reception will follow the roundtable at 4 p.m.
The celebration is co-sponsored by the Cultures and Texts Strategic Strength.
