The Office of International Student and Scholar Services is holding a workshop for staff members who must interpret immigration documents in order to process appointments and fulfill their job responsibilities.
The free workshop, “Appointing International Students: Immigration Documents, I-9 Requirements, Etc.,” will be held from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. March 7 in 120 Clemens Hall, North Campus.
It is designed specifically for employees who need to interpret immigration documents — passports, visas, I-20s, I-94s and DS-2019s — in order to appoint international students as UB employees and sign off on their I-9 forms.
The workshop will be led by Amanda Brown of UB’s international employment tax unit, and Ellen Dussourd, assistant vice provost and director, International Student & Scholar Services.
