Faculty and staff are encouraged to show their UB pride and spirit by marching in the academic procession at UB’s 170th University Commencement on May 15 in Alumni Arena.

After the procession, those marching will be seated in a special section at the front of the arena and their names will appear in the commencement program.

After the ceremony, participants are invited to join President Satish K. Tripathi and Provost Charles F. Zukoski for lunch in the Edward L. Wright Practice Facility in the arena.

The Office of Special Events will place rental orders and pay the rental fee for academic apparel for those participating in the university commencement ceremony. For those wishing to purchase their own academic garb, the annual cap and gown sale will be held in March. Sale dates and further details will be forthcoming.

Those wishing to take part in divisional commencement ceremonies should notify the coordinator of that ceremony.

The deadline for registering to participate in University Commencement is Feb. 25.
