The Professional Staff Senate’s Sustainable Living Committee is sponsoring a free clothing and household electronics recycling event April 27 at the Center for Tomorrow.
Faculty, staff, students and members of the UB Alumni Association can drop off items from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the CFT parking lot on the North Campus.
Among the electronics items accepted are computers, monitors and televisions, networking devices, UPS and UPS batteries, printers, fax machines, scanners, copiers, duplicators, plotters and typewriters, as well as all items used in the function of these devices, such as keyboards, mice and speakers.
The electronics will be collected by Maven Industries, while Hearts for the Homeless will handle the clothing.
During last year’s recycling event, members of the UB community donated 1,409 pounds of clothing and recycled 17,111 pounds of electronics.
