Volunteers are needed to help with Western New York’s celebration of World Refugee Day, a global event initiated in 2000 by the United Nations that is designed to recognize the people who add diversity to our communities.

UB’s School of Social Work is a sponsor of the daylong event, which will take place July 1 in LaSalle Park in Buffalo.

Volunteers are needed to help with coordinating event activities ranging from a soccer tournament to cultural performances.
