UB faculty and staff are encouraged to take part in the 25th annual Day of Caring, to be held on Aug. 16.
Organized by the United Way of Buffalo and Erie County, Day of Caring is Western New York’s largest community service event, and serves as the informal launch for UB’s annual Campaign for the Community.
UB volunteers will work throughout Western New York on various projects in the community, such as painting and landscaping.
The event starts at 8 a.m. at KeyBank Center. Volunteers will travel by bus to their work sites and return to KBC at noon for a free lunch.
Volunteers are asked to register by Aug. 14.
