Members of the UB community can stop by the Health Sciences Library on Oct. 4 and share a cup of coffee — and some conversation — with UB Police officers.
The event, the second “Coffee with a Cop Day,” will take place from noon to 4 p.m. in the library in Abbott Hall on the South Campus.
While UB police are often seen around campus interacting with faculty, staff and students, Coffee with a Cop Day offers a specific time and place in which to meet with members of UPD, says Chief Gerald W. Schoenle Jr.
The event is part of the national Coffee with a Cop Day sponsored by the U.S. Department of Justice’s Office of Community Oriented Policing Services to bring law enforcement and the communities they serve together — over coffee — to discuss issues and learn more about each other.
