Aviva Abramovsky, dean of the School of Law, and Nancy Nielsen, senior associate dean for health policy in the Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences at UB, and past president of the American Medical Association, are among notable Western New York women taking part in a panel discussion on March 10 as part of the “Transformational Leadership: Women in Power” networking event.
The event will take place from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Erie County Bar Association, 438 Main St., Buffalo. Tickets are $25 for general admission and $10 for students.
Joining Abramovsky and Nielsen on the panel are the Hon. Rose Sconiers, retired Appellate Court justice; Ulla Bak, co-founder and president, Bak USA; Claudine Ewing, WGRZ News; Catherine Collins, New York State regent; and Leslie Feidt, chief information officer, ECMCC.
Also delivering presentations are Lisa Coppola, an attorney and immediate past president of the National Association of Women Business Owners — NAWBO, on “Negotiating Salaries, Bonuses and Promotions,” and Ursuline Bankhead, a psychologist and trainer, on “Understanding your Professional and Personal Value.
