UB faculty can learn about the latest instructional technology and security standards at several town halls for faculty being presented next month by UBIT.
Sessions will be held from 2-5 p.m. Oct. 3 in 120 Clemens Hall, North Campus, and from 2-4 p.m. Oct. 4 in 4 Diefendorf on the South Campus.
The North Campus town hall will be recorded and posted on the UBIT website.
Both town halls will cover Webex, UB’s newest tool for online collaboration between faculty, students and staff; Panopto, which helps faculty use their personal devices to present classroom material to an online audience; UB’s security standards for desktops, laptops, mobile devices and servers; and Top Hat, a suite of interactive, online tools that can be used to take attendance, design interactive polls and discussions, and allow students to respond in real-time using their phone or laptop.
A full schedule of sessions is available online.
Those interested in attending are asked, but not required, to RSVP to dianatuo@buffalo.edu.
