Three finalists in the search for a new chief of police have been identified and they will be visiting UB next week to meet with university and community stakeholders.
Members of the university community are urged to attend one of three open forums being held for each candidate to learn more about the finalists and talk with them about the future of UB. Community participation also will help the search committee in its efforts to recruit the best chief of police by demonstrating that members of the UB community are genuinely invested in the search for this leadership position.
The open forums are being held from 7-7:45 a.m., 3:45-4:30 p.m. and 5-5:45 p.m. in 128 Bissell Hall. Candidate 1 will visit on Dec. 5, Candidate 2 on Dec. 6 and Candidate 3 on Dec. 7.
The names and CVs of the finalists will be available at the beginning of each open forum.
At these sessions, the candidates will offer an opening statement of their vision for University Police, as well as their interest in and qualifications for the position. Following the opening statement, there will be time for questions and conversation with the finalists.
