The search for the next vice provost for international education is underway, with the appointment of a search committee headed by Munroe Eagles, professor and chair of the Department of Political Science.
The search is seeking a successor to Stephen C. Dunnett, who stepped down from the position in fall 2018 after leading UB’s international programs and services since 1989. John Wood, former senior associate vice provost for international education, has been serving as interim vice provost since Sept. 1, 2018. Dunnett retired from the university last August.
The search committee, appointed by Provost A. Scott Weber, includes faculty, administrators and students from across the university.
In addition to Eagles, other members of the search committee are:
UB also has hired the consulting firm of Isaacson, Miller to assist in the search. The principal from the firm who will work on this search is Sean Farrell, assisted by Marc St. Hilaire. Farrell has extensive experience in supporting executive and decanal searches for some of the nation’s leading universities.
Weber says the goal is to complete the search process by July 1.
During the coming months, Eagles will update the university community regarding the committee’s progress. Information will also be available on the search website.
