High school and college students from across the nation can get a glimpse of the pharmacy profession at the annual UB Pharmacy Summer Institute for High School and College Students.
The institute, hosted by the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, provides students with a broad scope of learning experiences, including a variety of hands-on activities, visits to local clinical practices and research labs, and lectures by UB faculty and Buffalo-area alumni.
The in-person program will be held July 11-13 in the Pharmacy Building on the South Campus. Activities will take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
In addition to an in-depth educational program showcasing the ins and outs of pharmacy practice, the institute will further prepare students for health care careers by highlighting educational opportunities at the pharmacy school, and offering recommendations on preparatory high school courses focusing on undergraduate pharmacy coursework.
