Operation Doorhanger is going digital this year, and it will be reaching more homes in the University Heights than ever before.
More than 2,600 postal customers will be receiving postcards with tips on how to be a good neighbor. The postcards also have a QR code that directs to the UB Community Relations website, which has additional Operation Doorhanger resources, including neighborhood highlights and the bulk trash pickup schedule.
In previous years, Operation Doorhanger reached 1,600 homes around South Campus, with volunteers dropping off packets of information. But by going digital this year, Community Relations was able to up the number of homes by almost 75%.
Operation Doorhanger is organized by UB Community Relations as part of the university's continuing efforts to encourage community building and to make the South Campus neighborhood a better place to live.
