Hillel of Buffalo has announced the appointment of Jeff Clark as executive director of the organization that supports 1,500 Jewish students at UB, SUNY Buffalo State University and other local campuses.
He succeeds Rabbi Sara Rich, who led Hillel of Buffalo for the past six years.
Prior to joining Hillel of Buffalo, Clark served as executive director of Temple Beth Zion, the largest synagogue in Western New York. Jeff is a native Buffalonian, hailing from Williamsville and currently residing in Eggertsville with his wife and son.
“It’s extremely exciting to be joining an organization that shares my Jewish values,” says Clark, a Buffalo native. “My experience as the executive director at Temple Beth Zion reinforced and cultivated my faith, and it’s been a joy bringing Judaism more central to my life and my family.
“I’m eager to share my love of Judaism with Hillel, help students connect to our traditions and ensure they are safe to celebrate and live Jewish culture.”
From holiday celebrations to learning fellowships, Hillel of Buffalo provides enriching opportunities for students to explore their Jewish identities and form valuable bonds with their peers. Located in the UB Commons, Hillel of Buffalo marked its 75th anniversary last spring.
