Attendees at the UB Bulls’ home opener on Sept. 9 against Fordham are encouraged to “blue out” UB Stadium by wearing blue and bringing their True Blue pride to the game.
Kickoff is at 6 p.m.
The game is also the “716 game” celebrating all things Buffalo. Niagara Falls, the Peace Bridge and the Center for the Arts will all be lit blue for the occasion.
UB faculty and staff can purchase tickets for the special price of $10 per ticket, plus a $2 processing fee. Faculty and staff can also purchase season tickets for the team’s six home games for $66 per ticket.
Undergraduate students can use the mobile app “UB rewards” to generate their free tickets for the game. The first 1,500 students at the game will receive a free True Blue T-shirt.
Stampede Square opens at 3 p.m., followed by the Walk to Victory at 3:30 p.m. Fans can take part in special giveaways, tailgating, photo ops with mascots, a 360 photo booth and more. New students who want to be part of the “True Blue Dash,” a home-opener tradition where students run onto the field with the True Blue student club, should gather at the northeast gate entry of the stadium by 25 minutes on the pre-game clock — roughly 5:30 p.m.
True Blue celebrates the power and the pride of the UB community. The True Blue website serves as a hub for True Blue spirit, showcasing stories, profiles, videos and photos, and inviting the entire UB community to submit their own.
