Bloomberg Businessweek has again ranked the School of Management’s MBA program one of the nation’s best. The school rose one place in the 2023-24 ranking to No. 69, placing it solidly in the top 10% of AACSB-accredited business schools.
Among public universities, the School of Management is ranked No. 32.
The school fared exceptionally well in the learning component of the survey with an overall rank of No. 38. In addition, the school got high marks for networking, entrepreneurship and diversity.
“The quality of our faculty, and the caliber and success of our students have contributed significantly to our position in this ranking,” says Dean Ananth Iyer. “Furthermore, innovative initiatives like LeaderCOREā¢, Global Programs, Corporate Champions, Social Impact Fellows and our Nonprofit Board Fellowships have had a positive impact on the student experience as reflected in the component ratings.”
The ranking is based on data compiled from 6,574 students, 10,347 alumni, 713 employers, and compensation and job-placement data from each school. In addition to the overall ranking, schools are separately ranked on five component indexes — compensation, networking, learning, entrepreneurship and diversity.
Of more than 16,000 business schools worldwide, the School of Management is one of only about 1,000 schools accredited by AACSB International and the only school in the Buffalo Niagara region to make the Bloomberg Businessweek ranking.
