The UB Department of Music will be presenting a recital featuring the artistry of DePauw University faculty pianist May Phang, who will be joined by UB piano faculty member and department chair Eric Huebner, at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 28 in UB’s Lippes Concert Hall in Slee Hall.

This recital is co-curated by Su Lian Tan,  Slee Visiting Professor in composition, and David Sanford, who has strong connections to the UB Music Department and recently brought his David Sanford Big Band to Slee Hall last spring.

“Color, shape, rumination, a set of expressions and impressions composed for the contemporary piano, this program includes underrepresented and emerging composers and will kick off with a world premiere by Jeffrey Mumford,” says Tan.

Tickets are $10 and may be purchased online via Ticketmaster, or at the Center for the Arts Box Office Tuesday-Friday from noon-6 p.m.

Tickets are also available at the Slee Hall box office within the hour before concert time. UB students with a valid ID are entitled to one complimentary ticket at the door.
