UB faculty, staff and students are encouraged to use an alternative method of transportation to get to campus on Green Your Commute and Bike to Work Day on May 17 on the North and South campuses.
The options range from walking, biking, taking public transit, carpooling, driving an electric vehicle — or even working remotely for the day.
Green your Commute Day is sponsored by Parking and Transportation Services.
UB green commuters can refresh at energizer stations from 7:30-9:30 a.m. at the Main Circle on the South Campus and Founders Plaza on the North Campus. Free snacks courtesy of Campus Dining and Shops will be available, as well as some free swag. Those who register for the event online will be entered into a giveaway for one of five gift cards to Bert’s Bikes.
Members of the UB community working on the Downtown Campus can take part in the Buffalo Niagara Medical Campus’ Bike to Work Day on June 6. An energizer station will be open from 7-9:30 a.m. in Pocket Park, 589 Ellicott St.
