Published February 20, 2025

Advanced organ students from the renowned Eastman School of Music will perform works spanning from the Baroque era to the 20th century on UB’s Fisk Organ in a recital on Feb. 28.

The program, to begin at 7:30 p.m. in Lippes Concert Hall in Slee Hall, North Campus, offers concertgoers a rare opportunity to hear accomplished musicians perform on the historic Fisk Organ. Eastman organists have a long tradition of excellence, with past performers securing top prizes in international competitions and prestigious positions in the field.

The UB program includes works by Johann Sebastian Bach, César Franck, Charles-Marie Widor, Maurice Duruflé, Jean Langlais and Horatio Parker.

Eastman students performing in this annual recital are Yuhe Su, Charles Francis, Andrew Johnson and Adam Chlebek.

Tickets are $10 and can be purchased through Ticketmaster, at the Center for the Arts box office from noon to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, or at the Slee Hall box office an hour before concert time. UB students with a valid ID receive one complimentary ticket — to this and all UB music department concerts — and may pick up their ticket right before the concert.
