Warm Weather Wednesdays (WWW), the summer series of activities designed to provide members of the UB community a chance to get outside and have some fun during what many people feel is Buffalo’s best season, is back for a second year.
Part of the UBThisSummer lineup of summer programming, WWW events will take place on Wednesdays, from May 20 through Aug. 12. All but the final event on Aug. 12 — the Farewell to Summer Cruise — will take place on the North Campus. All events are free and open to the public. Registration is required for some events.
Organizers of WWW, which include staff from the Office of the Vice Provost for Enrollment Management, Student Activities, Office of Work/Life Balance and International Student and Scholar Services, say the activities show that the campus is not as quiet during the summer months as many might think.
The fun begins on May 20 with “Paint a Pot, Pot a Plant, Plant a Seed,” in which participants will help prepare the North Campus Garden for the summer growing season and also take away their own potted plant. It runs from noon to 4 p.m. at the Campus Garden near Greiner Hall. In the event of rain, the event will be moved indoors to the Student Union.
