The Zodiaque Dance Company will present its 42nd Spring Concert Feb. 24-28 in the Drama Theatre in the Center for the Arts, North Campus.

Performance times are 7:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and 2 p.m. on Sunday.

This spring’s concert, directed by Department of Theatre & Dance faculty members Tressa Gorman Crehan, clinical assistant professor, and Tom Ralabate, professor, demonstrates fluency in a wide range of techniques and forms, and a deep comprehension of abstract artistry and emotional nuance.

Featured will be works by associate professors Melanie Aceto and Anne Burnidge, as well as Crehan and Ralabate. Other contributions include works by Zodiaque alumnus and artist-in-residence Jon Lehrer; Zodiaque alumna Lynne Kurdziel-Formato, a faculty member at Elon University; Zodiaque alumna and Infinity Dance Project Director Rebecca Wind; and senior Zodiaque performing member Evan Matthew Stewart.

The concert also includes guest musicians John Morano and Stanzi Vaubel, and lighting designer Chase D.H. Brooks.

The concert is dedicated in memory of Michael Hake, Western New York musical director extraordinaire, and Eugene Louis “Luigi” Facciuto, legendary classic jazz dance pioneer. Kurdziel-Formato and Ralabate will present works to celebrate these two artists.

The Department of Theatre & Dance’s 2015-16 season is inspired by “justice,” one of the five named UB 2020 themes.

Tickets are $20 for the general public and $10 for students from any school and seniors, and may be purchased at the Center for the Arts box office and at tickets.com.
