‘Rocketman,’ ‘Avengers: Endgame’ headline SA’s Summer Film Series

Itchin’ to see the recently released “Rocketman,” or the blockbuster “Avengers: Endgame?” For free?

Those two films are among the titles being screened this summer as part of the undergraduate Student Association’s popular Summer Film Series.

The series opens June 18 and runs through Aug. 23. Screenings take place on Tuesday and Friday nights on the Special Events Field adjacent to the Student Union on the North Campus and on Wednesday nights on the Hayes Hall lawn on the South Campus.

Screenings begin at 9:15 p.m. in June, 9 p.m. in July and 8:45 p.m. in August.

In the event of rain, North Campus screenings will move to 110 Norton Hall; the rain location for South Campus screenings is 148 Diefendorf Hall.

The screenings are open to members of the general public, as well as the UB community.

The schedule of movies:

  • June 18, 19 and 21: “Captain Marvel.”
  • June 25, 26 and 28: “Us.”
  • July 2, 3 and 5: “John Wick: Chapter 3.”
  • July 9, 10 and 12: “Dumbo.”
  • July 16, 17 and 19: “Shazam!”
  • July 23, 24 and 26. “Pokémon Detective Pikachu.”
  • July 30, 31 and Aug. 2: “How to Train Your Dragon 3.”
  • Aug. 6, 7 and 9: “Rocketman.”
  • Aug. 13, 14 and 16: “Avengers: Endgame.”
  • Aug. 20, 21 and 23: “X-Men: Dark Phoenix.”
