UB faculty member and film aficionado Bruce Jackson says movies are meant to be seen on the big screen, in the company of others.

Members of the UB community who missed the chance to see multiple 2023 Academy Award winner “Everything Everywhere All at Once” on the big screen in a theater are in luck. The film — which won seven Oscars, including that for best picture, best director and three of the four acting categories — is kicking off the undergraduate Student Association’s Summer Film Series this year.

The series, which brings some popular films of the past year to an outdoor setting on the North Campus, runs June 19 through Aug. 23. Screenings take place at 8:30 p.m. on Mondays and Wednesdays on the Parcel B lot adjacent to the UB Bookstore.

The screenings are all free and open to members of the public, as well as the UB community.

In the event of rain, screenings will be cancelled, and cancellations posted on the series’ website
