UB remains among the top public universities in the nation, according to the latest rankings released today by U.S. News & World Report.
UB, New York's flagship university, comes in at No. 36 among 227 public national universities in U.S. News & World Report’s 2024 Best Colleges rankings. That’s up two spots from last year.
UB is No. 76 on U.S. News’ list of best national universities, both public and private, up 13 spots from a year ago.
UB’s School of Nursing also fared extremely well in this year’s rankings, moving up 36 spots to No. 31 nationally in undergraduate nursing programs and 23rd among public universities.
“This unprecedented rise in rankings is a reflection of not only the excellent classroom and clinical education provided by our outstanding expert faculty, but of the growing recognition of sustained performance by our students who consistently score higher than the average pass rate of every state in the nation on the National Council Licensing Exam (NCLEX),” says Annette Wysocki, dean of the School of Nursing.
“Our clinical partnerships, innovative simulation scenarios and community experiences are also key in providing experiential learning that develop students to become outstanding clinical practitioners as they enter the profession of nursing,” Wysocki adds.
